1.Introduction
Para-chlorophenol, also known as p-chlorophenol (English name), 4-chloro phenol (4-chloro), 4-chloro-1-hydroxybenzene (4-chloro-1-hydroxybenzene), p-chloro-1-hydroxy benzene (4-chloro-1-hydroxybenzene), and 4-chloro-1-hydroxybenzene (4-chloro-1-hydroxybenzene). Pure products are colorless crystals, industrial products are yellow or pink crystals or powder. Volatile, steam has an unpleasant irritating odor. Flammable, slightly soluble in water, solubility in water (20ºC) 27.1g/L, soluble in benzene, ethanol, ethyl ether, glycerol, chloroform, fixed oil and volatile oil. 1% aqueous solution makes litmus acidic, its acidity is less than phenol, stronger than benzene. This product is mainly used in pesticide, medicine, dyestuff, plastic and other industries, also used as ethanol color changing agent, selective solvent for refining mineral oil, microscopic analysis, etc. When p-chlorophenol meets open fire and high heat, it can be flammable and decomposes at high temperature to produce toxic and corrosive flue gas.5.Package
The p-chlorophenol is sealed in plastic film lined or kraft paper open iron drum and placed in a dry, ventilated and cool place. Keep away from the heat source of ignition, avoid mixed transportation with ferric salt, heavy metal salt, potassium permanganate, hydrogen peroxide, iodine, bromine, protein, collodion, etc.
